Privacy Policy
This is a general description of how this MVP handles information. It is not legal advice and has not been reviewed by a lawyer. Please have it reviewed before you rely on it for a commercial launch.
What this product is
Pretty Please lets someone create a short interactive page (a petition, apology, birthday roast, and similar) and send a private link to one other person.
What we collect
We try to collect only what the page needs.
- Content you type to create a page: their name, your name, and the message. We store these so the unique link can show the experience. Please do not put sensitive information here (IDs, bank details, health information, passwords, OTP codes, precise addresses).
- Photos and media: this MVP does not support uploads. We do not collect photos.
- Accounts: there are no user accounts and we do not collect a login email to use the product.
- Contact and reports: if you write to us, we store the category, message, optional email, and (for reports) the page link and reason, so we can respond or review abuse.
- Payments: card, UPI PIN, CVV, and OTP are not collected or stored by us. Card payments are not connected yet. When they are, a third-party processor will handle payment details. We would then keep only what we need to confirm an order (for example a processor reference and paid/not paid).
- Technical information: our host may see IP address, browser/device, and basic request logs, which is normal for running a website and looking into abuse or outages.
- Cookies and analytics: we do not use analytics products on this MVP. We use the browser’s local storage only on your device to remember demo unlocks while you test. That does not go to our server.
Why we use it
To show the page you created, to take it down if you or we need to, to read support and abuse reports, to keep the service running, and (later) to confirm payment. We do not sell this information.
How it is stored
Created pages live on our server as a small record: a random id, the template, the three text fields, dates, status, and a hashed delete token. We do not store the delete token in readable form. Reports and contact notes are stored separately and are not public.
Generated pages are unlisted. They are not meant to be found by search engines, and we do not put names or messages in the link.
How long we keep it
Active pages are kept until they expire (if expiry is configured), until the creator deletes them with their delete token, or until we remove them for abuse or legal reasons. After deletion we clear the names and message. Support and abuse records may be kept long enough to handle the request. Server logs follow the host’s normal retention.
When we share it
We do not publish your message. We may share limited information with:
- the hosting provider that runs the site
- a payment processor, if payments are connected later
- whoever we must tell if the law requires it, or to investigate abuse or security issues
The person who receives your link can see the names and message you chose. Treat the link like a letter: anyone with it can open it.
Your choices
You can ask us to correct or delete a page or a support message. If you created the page, the fastest path is the delete token shown when the link was made. You can also write to us from the Contact page (privacy category). We may need enough detail to find the record. We do not promise GDPR, DPDP, or other specific legal regimes on this MVP.
Children
This is a playful product for adults. It is not directed at children. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we will take down what we can find.
Changes
We may update this page. The effective date at the top will change when we do.
